Catering Goods
1.1 Auction is open from the point of publication until closure 72 hours after it is posted; listings closing over weekends and holidays will close at 11:00 on the first working day.
2.1 Everyone can bid at any time during the open hours, but no new bidders
will be allowed to start bidding in the last 15 minutes.
2.2 Any bid placed in the last 5 minutes will extend the auction time by 5 minutes.
2.3 EXTRA time on auction at the discretion of admins, limited to 5-minute bidding intervals.
3.1 There are several WhatsApp and Telegram groups where all the lots will be published as they become available on the website. To bid, click on the link of the item and place your bid, or bid directly on the website.
4.1
It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure that Catering Goods receives the correct information.
4.2
Catering Goods accepts no responsibility for incorrect information or incorrect photos provided by the seller.
4.3
All lots remain the property of the seller. The seller has the right to reject a buyer's bid if it is below the reserve price.
If the reserve price is met, the seller must have a valid reason to refuse the bid. If the seller fails to provide a valid reason,
they will be liable for payment of 10% (ten percent) excluding VAT of the reserve price of the lot.
4.4
It is the seller's responsibility to inform Catering Goods if the buyer fails to comply with the rules.
4.5
The seller has 7 days or as privately arranged with the buyer to provide goods to the buyer in good condition.
4.6
Sellers must inform Catering Goods as soon as they have dispatched goods to buyers. Catering Goods will not release payments
without this notification from sellers. It is the responsibility of the seller to notify Catering Goods,
and it is not the auction's responsibility to follow up on this.
4.7
Sellers who are VAT registered must provide a VAT invoice to Catering Goods with amounts as supplied by Catering Goods
before payment takes place.
4.8
Sellers who are not VAT registered must complete a
SARS VAT264
Form and return it to Catering Goods along with a copy of their ID document or, in the case of a company,
a letterhead, invoice, or other company document.
5.1 It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure they are satisfied with the information of a lot before purchasing. NO EXCEPTIONS. If the item purchased is refunded to the buyer for any reason, a 10% fee will still be charged. Any refunds exclude the cost of courier, as it is solely at the risk of buyers and sellers.
5.2 Buyers will remain bound by Catering Goods's sales agreement. If the buyer withdraws from a lot that has been purchased before the transaction is completed, the buyer will be held responsible for a 10% (ten percent) (excluding VAT) penalty of the sales amount payable to Catering Goods. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. No bids will be withdrawn during the auction.
5.3 Buyers must inform Catering Goods as soon as they have received goods; no payments will be released without this notification from the buyer. It is the responsibility of the buyer to notify Catering Goods, and it is not the auction's responsibility to follow up on this.
6.1
To bid, click on the link of the item and place your bid, alternatively, bid directly on the website.
6.2
Each bid must be increased by a minimum of R50.00 (fifty Rand), unless otherwise indicated.
7.1
No lot submitted to Catering Goods may appear on another auction or platform on the same day.
Such a lot will incur a penalty of 10% (ten percent), excluding VAT, of the reserve amount, payable by the seller to Catering Goods.
7.2
Lots for the day of the auction MUST BE STRICTLY PRIVATE. If not, lots will not be listed on that day.
7.3
Lots that are listed may NOT be withdrawn. In such a case, a 10% (ten percent) plus VAT administration fee of the reserve
amount will be owed to Catering Goods for ANY withdrawal by the seller.
7.4
Catering Goods reserves the right to refuse any lot or offer during the auction.
8.1 10% (fifteen percent) plus VAT on the sale amount will be due by the seller to Catering Goods as commission.
8.2 Lots that are listed may NOT be withdrawn. In such a case, a 10% (ten percent) plus VAT administration fee of the reserve amount will be owed to Catering Goods for ANY withdrawal by the seller.
9.1

9.2Seller information will only be sent privately to buyers after the conclusion of the auction.
10.1
Negotiations regarding unsold lots will be strictly handled by Catering Goods after the auction.
10.2
After the auction, the buyer will receive the seller's contact details,
and it is the buyer's responsibility to contact the
seller within 24 hours and make payment
to Catering Goods within 7 days.
Catering Goods will release payment to the seller 7 (Seven) days
after the buyer has confirmed satisfaction with the goods being sent or received,
unless otherwise arranged. This allows ample time for the buyer to receive the item and
confirm its condition as listed.
10.3
Buyers will receive confirmation of the transaction as well as Catering Goods's banking details after each auction.
10.4
If the buyer does not make arrangements for the goods to be sent by the seller or does not collect the goods after a period of 90 (ninety) days, ownership of the goods reverts to the seller, and the buyer forfeits any payments made.
11.1 Cash deposits require you to add a R50.00 (fifty Rand) cash deposit fee to your total amount.
12.1 Catering Goods is not responsible for failed deliveries or for the transportation or transportation costs of any items sold at the auction. It is the buyer's responsibility to contact the seller and arrange transportation; the cost thereof is the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise specified.
13.1 Catering Goods admin expects everyone to consider the group as an auction and to respect the privacy of the admin and anyone who is part of the Catering Goods group. If any issues arise, please report them privately to the admin.
14.1 Any disputes will be resolved at the sole discretion of Catering Goods.
14.2 Catering Goods only act as a trading agent, connecting buyers and sellers and to facilitate transactions. The transaction remain a transaction between the buyer and seller and Catering Goods cannot be held liable for the actions of buyers and sellers.
